Dunas do Rosado (Porto do Mangue)

Between Areia Branca and Porto do Mangue, the Dunas do Rosado rise as a wall of rose-coloured sand directly behind a kite-ready beach. Sertões Kitesurf used Porto do Mangue (Praia do Rosado) as a stage in 2021, signalling that the local kite community recognises it as a destination rather than just scenery. Conditions match the Costa Branca pattern: 20–30 kt from the east, big open beach, no reef, but the surf can build over the seaward sandbar. Plan around buggy-tour traffic, which is heavy in high tourist season.
