Lagoa do Sal (Touros)

Despite the name (literally 'salt lagoon'), the riding here is on the open ocean directly outside the lagoon mouth. Trade wind is cross-shore, the swell builds over a sandbar outside the river, and the wave is the cleanest in the immediate Gostoso region. Locals call it a downwind starting point — Lagoa do Sal → Gostoso is a sometimes-published 20 km wave-and-flat short downwind that mirrors Tourinhos → Marco from the opposite direction.
