Praia de Pernambuquinho (Grossos)

A working fishing village at the mouth of the Rio Mossoró, where the Costa Branca meets the Ceará border. Wind here is among the strongest in RN — 25–32 kt is normal between October and December — and the riding zone alternates between flat estuary water on the river side and beach-break ocean on the seaward side. Most riders pass through on the downwind chain, but the village is a viable overnight base for anyone wanting the strongest, cleanest October sessions in the state.
